With AI rapidly taking over many of our tasks, I believe it’s more important than ever to stay focused on what truly matters and what is the right way of doing things.
When I look back on my five years of experience in marketing, some things have remained fundamentally true:
- Good (findable) content is content that truly helps the reader.
- A solid internal linking structure is underrated for SEO.
- Great copy is clear and transparent.
When looking at the future and how AI will take over tasks, projects or even entire jobs, I believe these rules will decide what will work and what won’t:
- AI co-pilots and agents should make individual assignments easier so there’s more time for human interaction.
- Where accountability and empathy are important, AI agents will have a hard time becoming the norm.
- Almost anything can be written with AI so authentic content will be more important than ever. It has to be personal, funny and full of proof.
I’ll expand on this in the future.
